It's official that cities have begun putting a blockade on attending sporting events. The remaining Sharks and Barracuda home games for March have been canceled and it seems that more teams have it on their radar. Now normally, we try to implement real life events into the league. Eric had actually suggested postponing his game last Tuesday against PIT because of the tornado and if I'd had more time to process, I would have granted that. However, I feel that the COVID-19 outbreak would be overkill. Our season doesn't need to be prolonged any further than it already has and everyone deserves their time away from the league during the summer. Unless the unlikely event that one of us passes away, there will be no schedule adjustments based on COVID-19.
If anything, this might actually
help me out with the league. A lot of Bay Area companies like Google, Facebook, Apple, HP, and LinkedIn have made many (some, all) of their employees stay home in fear of further spreading. At my job, we've been making preparations for our employees to work from home as well. The big boss keeps talking about "when," not "if." I know I'd welcome the extra time at home to recharge and also to spend more time working on the long list of "league things" I'd like to accomplish.
Anyway, be well, be safe, and wash your damn hands.
