To Calgary: Jake Neighbours, Hunter Jones, 2022 2nd
To Winnipeg: Domink Kahun and Jonas Johansson
The Calgary Flames have coveted local boy and Edmonton Oil Kings winger Jake Neighbours for some time and tried to move up to get him in the past draft. Bringing Neighbours into the organization gives us some added depth on the wing and we see him playing for the team sooner than later. As for Hunter Jones, he adds further depth to an already growing deep goalie prospect pool. In this day and age you can never have enough goalies due to the length of time it takes for them to develop.

To Calgary: Martin Jones and Zach Bogosian
To Edmonton: Anders Nilsson and Andreas Borgman
A deal between arch rivals doesn’t happen often but when the opportunity to grab a starter in Martin Jones, GM Stephen didn’t hesitate to pull the trigger. Moving Anders Nilsson was the opportunity to get out of from under the second year of the contract. Adding Zach Bogosian has helped stabilize the bottom pairing defence. When asked, GM Stephen had this to say, “We are very happy with how Martin has played for his. When the season is over we will see where things go in regards to contract talks. For now we want Martin to focus on playing and winning us some games.”
