Good start, bad ending!
2017-06-25Another season in the books and again, the Winnipeg Jets didn’t clinch a playoff spot. After a good start, they failed to win when it counts. The end of the season was a disaster with a record of 1-7-1-1. This season was a disappointing one for the team management staffs and the fans.
Reporter: Joe, how do you explain this disappointing end of season?
Joe Tremblay: Well, I don’t have any good answer to tell you. Honestly, we were in a good position on deadline day, I did some moves to solidify the team defense with the addition of Garrison and Johnson but it seems that I did not see the real weakness of the team…
Reporter: What do you mean with “Real weakness of the team”?
Joe Tremblay: Why do you ask me this stupid question? You see the same games than me? No? Everybody in Winnipeg knows that our team are lacking of offense. We don’t score goals.
Reporter: Yes the team don’t score goals, but why you haven’t trade trade for a goal scorer.
Joe Tremblay: The price for a goal scorer was too high. I didn’t want to give both a 1st pick and a quality prospect to get a 20 goals scorer. A 20 goals scorer is fine, but not for the price asked…
Reporter: What are your plan for this offseason?
Joe Tremblay: First, there’s the expansion draft. It will be difficult for us to do a deal before this draft. When the expansion draft will be done, we will evaluate what we have in our hands and make decision. I think that there will be a lot of changes and a change of philosophy in this team.
Reporter: Talking of changes, there’s a rumor saying that Blake Wheeler will be traded after the expansion draft?
Joe Tremblay: Where the hell did you heard this fuck*** bullshit rumors. I don’t want to talk to you anymore. Get the hell out of here.
