Isles BeLIeve In The Four-Leaf Clover
2015-04-16Third time's the charm, right? WRONG. The New York Islanders have unfortunately been the victims of 3 previous GMs skipping town and seeking opportunity in the KHL. The Islanders have been very cautious searching for their new GM and have opted to take their GM job opening off of Monster.com as it clearly did not work in their favor previously. After deep analysis and long extensive research, the Islanders have come to terms with their new GM who they feel will be able to right their sinking ship. The Islanders would like to present their new GM, Joe Brodsky. Joe Brodsky has quite the reputation around the simulation community. He currently owns 2 different simulation leagues and plays a part of 2 more.
One big question surrounding Joe Brodsky is why opt for a 5th simulation league? "Well I originally applied for the EHE before the inaugural draft began, but unfortunately I was too late to the party. I was told that my application was outstanding and that they wished I had applied sooner as they already gave out all 30 teams. I was actually offered the position of the Islanders a while back, but I was in the midsts of creating my 2nd simulation league and couldn't dedicate my time to the EHE at that point. Now that I have everything up and running smoothly, I am here and ready to give my all to the EHE. Now what makes the EHE different from all the other leagues that I take part of is the fact that this is my first portal league and I am extremely intrigued at how in depth the portal takes the simulation to new heights. Speaking of which, I plan on taking the Islanders to new heights as well, but I will guarantee that there will be a rebuilding phase in which our fans will have to grit their teeth and move forward. Expect big changes coming to the Islanders in the next few weeks as the face of our franchise will be drastically changed." (drops the mic and walks out of the press conference)
Joe Brodsky has quite the reputation of taking over teams and rebuilding them into becoming future forces. With the trade deadline quickly approaching and the super entry draft on the horizon, Joe Brodsky will have to make moves sooner rather than later. The Islanders seem to finally be in good hands and can finally hop off the carousel of GMs. With 3 1st round picks in the upcoming draft, Joe Brodsky looks to do some damage and secure the future of the franchise.
