2017-10-04

Los Angeles, CA - Los Angeles Kings general manager Jay Seo announced today that the Kings and head coach Bruce Boudreau have mutually agreed to part ways following the expiration of his contract.

"On behalf of the Kings organization, I'd like to thank Bruce for his contributions to our hockey club. He is a superb coach and an even better individual, but after some discussion, the club has decided to pursue a new direction for the upcoming 2017-18 season. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors."

Boudreau was hired by former Kings general manager Steve Lemyre in September 2015 and won the 2016 Jack Adams Award as the league's top coach during his two seasons with the club.
