Rebuild On The Horizon? Devils Release Letter To Fans

During his introductory Press Conference back on May 28th newly appointed President of Hockey Operations and General Manger Cole Bates referenced "building a perrenial contender"; but while he expressed belief in the draft, Bates shared little in terms of scope and timing of forward thinking plans.

Fast forward precisely one month later, and this bombshell letter to fans suggests Bates has essentially told fans "Hold my beer".

Reports are swirling that Bates has been working the lines, considering a potential overhaul of the Devils in lieu of the information he has collected through a throrough Organizational review.

Devils fans, prepare yourselves for plenty of goodbyes.  Next season appears to be the beginning of an aggresive rebuild in Jersey.  We will just have to wait to see what Bates has up his sleeve.
