2022-23 Salary Cap & Floor Levels

Post by Kevin » Mon. Aug. 22, 2022 1:14 am

Just as the NHL's salary cap did, the EHE salary cap will rise by $1 million in the 2022-23 season to $76 million. (Mainly because I didn't feel like setting it to the equated $75.925M.)

The salary floor is going to rise to at least $50 million. This might increase further to $50.6 million but for now, it will be rounded down.

You should always be at least $5 million above the salary floor to guard against anyone who may retire instantly and to also give yourself enough leeway to make trades. Do not wait for unrestricted free agency to try to get compliant with the floor! Signing depth players to big money just to reach the floor is a good way of getting yourself into even worse trouble next offseason!
