Status of Toronto and New Jersey

Post by Kevin » Mon. Apr. 23, 2018 2:03 pm

10 days ago, Toronto Maples Leafs' general manager Mike Hall was suspended for repeatedly failing to submit his lineups for games. He has received an egregious seven fines this season, plus many others in his four years in the league. His efforts in activity and in managing have been lackluster, despite methods of both encouragement and threat. He has missed countless opportunities to improve overall. After speaking with Mike late last week, it has been agreed on that it is time to bring in a new GM for Toronto.

New Jersey Devils' general manager Kris Muchowski was also on the brink of being suspended last week for similar violations before contacting me. At this time, he is unable to fulfill the duties of an EHE general manager and has asked for privacy as he is dealing with a personal situation. Unfortunately, Kris has also been a repeat offender in terms of participation. His status is currently considered as on "leave of absence," although he very likely will not return.

Both teams have been neglected for too long and are in need of care. We hope to begin interviewing candidates for one team next weekend but will not rush into a decision, given that the regular season is almost to a close. As previously mentioned some time ago, we also have one hired GM who has been patiently waiting for a team to open up for three months and will make a decision of which team to assign him to based on what candidates we end up with. That announcement will probably come at the end of this week.
